Efficiently troubleshoot your Advanced Lithium Battery with our expert tips for common issues.

Problem

Possible cause Suggested remedy
Battery cannot discharge
  • Protection against over-temperature (cell temperature is higher than 80 °C)
  • Protection against under voltage protection
  • Protection against over current protection
  • Battery output terminal is short circuit
  • System failure
  • Regulate battery pack discharge ambient temperature lower than 55 °C
  • Charge battery
  • RV discharge power is over load, should decrease discharge power
  • Check the connection wire and try charge battery
  • Shutdown system and check the RV system function
Battery cannot charge
  • Protection against over voltage protection
  • Protection against over current protection
  • Protection against over-temperature or under- temperature (cell temperature is lower than 0 °C or higher than 60 °C)
  • Battery output terminal is short circuit
  • System failure
  • Disconnect the charger and load discharge current for few minutes. Try to charge the battery again
  • Charge is abnormal and the output current is over value
  • Regulate battery pack charge ambient temperature to 5 °C … 45 °C. If charged in freezing weather, need to wait until it is heated up to 5 °C by inner heater
  • Check the connection wire and try to charge the battery
  • Check RV system and RV charger
Mobile app cannot connect
  • Poor signal
  • Battery pack is fully off (no green LED)
  • Battery is in secondary mode (must configure using the app)
  • Approach RV system and try to connect again
  • Press physical button for 2 seconds to wake up the battery pack
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged
  • Open the app, enter the Add Device, power on the battery, then re-scan for the battery to connect to.
RV read battery information fail
  • RV system CAN1 120 ohm resistor is missed or damaged
  • Cable 1, 2 and 3 poor connection
  • Battery pack ID is not correct
  • Check the Cable1 wire and RV system CAN1 port 120 ohm resistor
  • Check cable 1, 2 and 3 connection
  • Check the battery ID setting and refer RV-C protocol to correct battery pack ID one by one
Mobile app fails to change the DC Source Switch
  • The battery was manually put into sleep mode with a button press before attempting to turn on the battery using the app. The battery must be fully on in order to change the mode into sleep mode or fully on again using the app
  • Manually wake or turn on the battery fully (solid LED) before attempting to change the discharge switch using the app
Battery doesn't power devices after powering up battery from fully off or sleep mode (via mobile app or button)
  • Battery internal BMS is in protection mode, most commonly due to a load connected moments before enabling the discharge power of the battery by pressing the button or the app
  • It is recommended to have a disconnect switch from your loads to the battery positive. Disconnect all loads to the battery, wake up or turn on the battery, wait for 5 seconds, then reconnect the loads to the battery using your disconnect switch
