Blinking Patterns:

This article will explain all the blinking patterns that occur with our Advance Lithium batteries.

Main Blinking Functions:

Blinking Pattern Description / Function

LED OFF
Power Off

LED Solid

Power On & Discharge / Charge bus is enabled , Battery can receive charge and also provide power to DC connected loads.

Press and hold for 4 seconds to put your battery into Storage/Sleep mode.

Blinking at 1Hz / 1 Second (slow) constantly

Storage / Sleep Mode, Battery can receive charge but will not provide power to DC connected loads.

Press and hold for 4 seconds to turn ON the battery, the LED pattern should switch to a solid LED.

If your battery is reporting 0%, and you want to enable the reserve capacity, press and hold for 8 seconds to turn ON the battery, the LED pattern should switch to a solid LED.

Blinking at 5Hz / 0.2 Seconds (fast) constantly

App / Bluetooth device is connecting to the Battery , button press authentication or authentication through the app is needed .

Blinking at 2Hz (slow) every 30 Seconds

Master / Main Battery Sync indicator, the main battery is flashing to indicate that it's the main battery reporting information amongst multiple connected batteries if applicable to represent one bank.

Series Blinking Logic:

Since you can connect up to 8 batteries in series, each series number has a certain period where all batteries within that series string/number blink.

For example, if you have two batteries in series string 1... all of them will blink 2~4 seconds at 2Hz/0.5 seconds from another after the main/master battery.

Battery 1 (Master) will blink at 30 seconds at 2Hz , then shortly 2-4 seconds after Battery 2 will blink at 2Hz.  If there was a third battery it would also shortly blink after battery 2 and so forth assuming they're all in parallel in series 1.

For example, if you have two batteries in series string 2... all of them will blink 5~7 seconds at 2Hz/0.5 seconds from another after the main/master battery.

Battery 1 (Master) will blink at 30 seconds at 2Hz , then shortly 5-7 seconds after Battery 2 will blink at 2Hz.  If there was a third battery it would also shortly blink after battery 2 and so forth assuming they're all in parallel in series 2.

2Hz Pattern

Series String Period
1 Flashing 2Hz at every 2-4 seconds
2 Flashing 2Hz at every 5-7 seconds
3 Flashing 2Hz at every 8-10 seconds
4 Flashing 2Hz at every 11-13 seconds
5 Flashing 2Hz at every 14-16 seconds
6 Flashing 2Hz at every 17-19 seconds
7 Flashing 2Hz at every 20-22 seconds
8 Flashing 2Hz at every 23-25 seconds

Note: If your 100Ah Advance lithium battery is firmware version 22 or lower OR your 300Ah Advance lithium battery firmware is 8 or lower, it will have the "Series" blinking logic. Newer firmware for the Advance lithiums remove the blinking offset based on the series number and only the Master will blink every 27-30 seconds.
